The United Japanese Society of Hawaii’s Annual New Year’s Luncheon

 On January 23^rd, Consul General & Mrs. Kamo attended the United Japanese Society of Hawaii’s annual New Year’s luncheon. There were some cultural entertainment and a recognition ceremony for Rev. Masatoshi Shamoto and Ms. Jean Sakihara as the 2009 Imperial Decoration Award recipients. Mr. Kirk Caldwell, the Managing Director of Honolulu City and County, also attended the event. Consul General Kamo offered remarks to pay his respects to Rev. Shamoto and Ms. Sakihara for their life  time achievements. Consul General also emphasized that the United Japanese Society of Hawaii plays a very important role in the Japanese-American community in Hawaii.
