2011 Spring Conferment of the Japanese Imperial Decoration Award Ceremony

 On July 30^th, Consul General and Mrs. Kamo hosted the 2011 Spring Conferment of the Japanese Imperial Decorations award ceremony at the Consul General’s official residence.  On this occasion, there were three recipients from Hawaii:  Ms. Ann H. Kobayashi (Council member of Honolulu City Council, the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Rosette), Mr. Thomas S. Sakata (former President of the Hawaii Visitors Bureau, the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Rosette), and Mr. Herbert Ichiro Ohta (ukulele performer, the Order of the Rising Sun, Silver Rays).  Consul General Kamo congratulated the recipients, praising them for their achievements in contributing to the promotion of the Japan-U.S. relationship.
