Thank you for your
kind introduction, Bill.
Thank you for
having me here this evening. I think I am odd man out, but our host
Kintetsu International kindly allowed me to join you here. I am here
to say thank you, Hawaii people, for your kind thoughts and support
for Japan in time of need after the devastating earthquake and
tsunami.
On a different
note, we genuinely admire and enjoy Hawaiian music and hula in
Japan. Hawaiian culture strikes a code in us in appreciation of joy
of life. The stage of the Na Hoku Hanohano Awards is the perfect
showcase for what it is like for Hawaiian musicians at their very
best.
Thank
you Hawaii!
