2010 Summer Teachers Workshop Reception

On July 25^th, the Consulate General of Japan and the Pacific Historic Parks co-hosted the 2010 Summer Teachers Workshop Reception at the official residence of the Consul General of Japan.  The reception has been organized every year since 2004 to welcome approximately 50 college or high school teachers from Asian countries and the U.S. participating in the workshop.  Through a week long workshop, the participants learn about the Pacific War through lectures by war veterans and field trips to Pearl Harbor’s historic sites.  Approximately 90 people, including 36 college teachers and local key figures, attended this year’s reception and Consul General Kamo gave welcome remarks.
