Foreign Minister’s Commendation for 2010

 On August 11, 2010, Consul General and Mrs. Kamo hosted a ceremony to award the 2010 Foreign Minister’s Commendation to Mr. Dennis Teranishi. Mr. Teranishi serves as the Vice Chairman and CEO of Hawaiian Host, Inc. and is a prominent business figure in the Japanese American community. Mr. Teranishi also serves as Vice Chairman of the Board of the Pacific International Center for High Technology Research (PICHTR). As the Vice Chairman of PICHTR, Mr. Teranishi helped promote US-Japan cooperation in the field of alternative energy development and provided substantial assistance to the development of the Hawaii-Okinawa Partnership on Clean Energy. Mr. Teranishi’s family, friends and colleagues attended the ceremony and Consul General Kamo offered congratulatory remarks.
