F-22 Arrival Ceremony

On July 9^th, Consul General Kamo visited the Hickam Air Force Base and attended the F-22 Raptor fighter jet’s arrival ceremony. At the ceremony, many military and government officials gathered to see the next-generation of fighter jets, the F-22s at the ceremony. When the F-22s landed after their demonstration flights, the ceremony began. In accordance with Hawaiian custom, a purification ceremony of the F-22s was performed. Governor Linda Lingle, the Chief of the Hawaii national guard, also attended and celebrated the F-22’s arrival.
