Hamano Ryuho Calligraphy Exhibit

On July 10th, an opening ceremony of the Hamano Ryuho Calligraphy Exhibit was held commemorating the 125th Anniversary of the Kanyaku Imin, or contract laborer immigrants, at the Japanese Cultural Center of Hawaii.  Consul General Kamo attended the event and gave remarks.  Mr. Hamano, who is also active in Spain, created very unique calligraphy works for the 125th anniversary of the Kanyaku Imin.  His main work this time is comprised of many cotton sheets on which about 1000 names of Kanyaku Imin are written.
