Policy Speech by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton On the morning of October 28th, US secretary of State Hillary Clinton delivered a major policy speech relating to the United State’s Asia-Pacific Foreign Policy stance at a Honolulu Hotel. In attendance at the speech were prominent figures from political, academic and business circles including Senator Daniel Inouye, Honolulu Mayor Peter Carlisle, Representative Mazie Hirono. Representative Charles Dejou, State Senate President Colleen Hanabusa and past Governors of Hawaii as well as a representative from the Consulate General of Japan at Honolulu. In her speech, Clinton attested that the 21st century will be the century for Asia and reaffirmed the US’s determination to continues participating in security of the region where the US demonstrate its leadership.
