We are now accepting applications for the 2024 Japanese American Leadership Delegation to Japan.
The Japanese American Leadership Delegation (JALD) program provides the opportunity for a select group of Japanese American leaders from across the United States to travel to Japan to engage with Japanese leaders in the business, government, academic, non-profit and cultural sectors. JALD is sponsored by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan and coordinated in partnership with the U.S. Japan Council (USJC).

How to Apply
Individuals selected must be able to travel to Japan from March 1–9, 2024, and attend a mandatory orientation in Los Angeles on January 29-30, 2024.
Applicants residing in Hawaii should submit applications to the Consulate General of Japan in Honolulu via e-mail by Friday, September 15, 2023.

Applicants are also required to send a copy of their application via e-mail to the U.S.-Japan Council: amurata@usjapancouncil.org
All applicants who apply through the Consulate General of Japan in Honolulu will be notified of the results by our office, tentatively by the end of November.
