Keio University Professor Toshihiro Nakayama presents a talk on Japan-U.S. relations at the East-West Center

“America in the mind of Japan:
How Japan sees America’s role in the Asia Pacific and Beyond”

The Consulate General of Japan in Honolulu has specially invited Professor Toshihiro Nakayama of the renowned Keio University to share his take on “America in the mind of Japan: How Japan sees America’s role in the Asia Pacific and Beyond.” Attended by more than 70 people at the East-West Center, Professor Nakayama shared his personal experiences in the U.S. and his perspectives on how the Japanese have viewed the Japan-U.S. relations over the years. Many questions were being asked from the audience during the Q&A Session, which signified how much interest the people of Hawaii had on the future of Japan-U.S. relations.
