A reception was held for returning JET participants at the Official Residence on October 8^th. The JET Selection Committee, JET Alumni Association Hawaii, and representatives of the various kenjinkai were there to welcome back the participants. Consul General Misawa encouraged the returnees to continue to work toward being a bridge between America and Japan and Hawaii and Japan. Loren Fujitani, who represented the returning JETs and who lived in Suo Oshima in Yamaguchi Prefecture for 2 years since 2013, gave a presentation of her life in Japan.
