Consulate Activities

　　　On May 7, Consul General and Mrs. Misawa visited the island of Maui to attend the Maui Matsui. This matsuri is the largest Japan-related event held on Maui. The Japanese Consulate participates in the festival every year, and takes the opportunity to share up-to-date information on tourism in Japan and Japanese language education. Though the day of the celebration was fraught with light showers, the atmosphere was lightened by the presence of VIPs like Governor David Ige and US Senator Brian Schatz.
