Visit by High School Students from Hawaii – Tohoku Rainbow Project

On March 26th, high school students from Fukushima who were invited to Hawaii by the Hawaii-Tohoku Rainbow Project visited the Consulate General of Japan.

This project is supported by several groups and companies both from Hawaii and Japan with the hope that these experiences outside Japan will cheer up and encourage children who were affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake. The students visited the Consulate and interacted with Consul General Ito and other supporters. They stayed in Hawaii for a week and learned about rich Hawaiian nature and culture and interacted with the local community through various activities.
