Visit by Japan Training Squadron

On June 3rd, the Consulate and the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force Training Squadron co-hosted a reception on board JS Kashima.
Approximately 200 guests attended from different organizations such as the US military and foreign missions including RADM Carter, Deputy Commander of Pacific Fleet. The guests enjoyed interacting with the trainee officers.
 
On June 4th, the Consulate and the Japan-America Society of Hawaii co-hosted a Japan U.S. Military Program (JUMP) reception at the official Consulate residence, with about 100 Japanese Self-Defense officers, including training officers, and another 100 US military officers in attendance.
Musical performances were jointly given by the Japanese Training Squadron Band and the US Pacific Fleet band. The Training Squadron taiko drummers did a performance as well.
