Consulate Activities

At the Consular Residence on Thursday June 27^th, Mr. Noboru Hayase, who served as the President of Hawaii Meijikai from 2011 to 2018, was conferred the Imperial Decoration, The Order of the Rising Sun, Silver Rays. As the President of Hawaii Meijikai, Mr. Hayase had preserved, perpetuated, and shared the spirits of the Meiji Era, when Japanese Americans immigrated to Hawaii, maintained the Makiki Cemetery, and continuously paid tribute to the deceased. Thus, he has increased the welfare of Japanese Americans and Japanese citizens in Hawaii and promoted mutual understanding and friendship between Japan and America.
