CG Aoki visited Gov. David Ige
On October 21st, CG Aoki visited Gov. David Ige to discuss the relationship between Hawaii and Japan and COVID-19. In the beginning, CG Aoki said "I watched your press conferences while I was in Japan, and have been impressed that you are always thoughtful regarding the people of Hawaii". Gov. Ige said, "We are developing an important relationship between Hawaii and Japan and that the Japanese-American communities and sister-city exchanges are very active". They then discussed the strong partnership between Hawaii and Japan regarding the reopening of the tourism industry in Hawaii.
