Book of Condolences available for the 10th Anniversary of the Great East Japan Earthquake【Governor David Ige and First Lady Dawn Amano-Ige`s visit to the Consulate】
March 11, 2021, marks a decade since the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake.
The Consulate General of Japan in Honolulu would like to express its deepest sympathy and condolences to all who have been affected by the disaster.
In commemoration of the 10th anniversary of the Great East Japan Earthquake, the consulate is providing the public an opportunity to sign a book of condolences at the Consul General’s official residence to express their sympathies for the victims of the disaster.

Today, Governor David Ige and First Lady Dawn Amano-Ige visited the Consulate and signed the book of condolences and laid a bouquet of flowers.
The book of condolences will be available to the public on the following days:

TIME: 9:00 am - 12:00 am, 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm

In order to prevent the spread of COVID-19, visitors are required to maintain social distancing by remaining at least six feet apart from others.
A limited number of people will be allowed into the residence in order to maintain the health and safety of everyone.
