Promoting Japan at Hawaii’s premier cultural event, "Honolulu Festival”
On March 11 (Sat) & 12 (Sun), the Consulate General of Japan participated the Honolulu Festival at the Hawaii Convention Center.
The annual Honolulu Festival was back for the first time since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. Our booth provided Japan travel and culture info as well as Yukata & Jinbei dressing for kids. Visitors to the booth often asked questions about specific areas they would like to visit for sightseeing.
As part of the festival, we also co-hosted a "Japanese Film Festival" together with the Honolulu Festival Foundation and the Japan Foundation, which was attended by approximately 900 people.
