2023 Monbukagakusho Japanese Studies Student Scholarship Award Presentation Ceremony
The Consulate General of Japan held an Award Presentation Ceremony for the 2023 Monbukagakusho (Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science & Technology) Japanese Studies (Nihongo Nihonbunka Kenshuu Ryuugakusei) Scholarship on Wednesday, August 30, 2023. This year, a total of four students from the United States, including two students from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, were selected to receive this prestigious scholarship.
Japanese Studies Student (Nihongo Nihon Bunka Kenshu Ryugakusei) Scholarship:
● Ms. Sarah Domingo, an undergraduate student at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, will study Japanese language and culture at Aichi Shukutoku University in Aichi prefecture from September, 2023 through August, 2024.
● Mr. Maximilien Halim, an undergraduate student at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, will study Japanese language and culture at Waseda University in Tokyo from October, 2023 through July, 2024.
Japanese Studies Student (Nihongo Nihon Bunka Kenshu Ryugakusei) Scholarship:
● Ms. Sarah Domingo, an undergraduate student at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, will study Japanese language and culture at Aichi Shukutoku University in Aichi prefecture from September, 2023 through August, 2024.
