Consulate Activities

On August 28, 24 high school students from the Fukuoka Basketball Exchange Delegation visited the Consulate. Consulate General Aoki gave a presentation that included the relationship between Hawaii and Fukuoka Prefecture. The students were surprised to hear that the early Japanese immigrants as well as family members of famous figures in Hawaii, such as Daniel K Inouye, were originally from Fukuoka.
