Consul General Kodama’s Official Visit to Kauai County

On October 12, 2023, Consul General KODAMA, in response to an invitation from the Mayor of Kauai County, Mr. Kawakami, to attend the 60th anniversary of the sister-city relationship between Suo-Oshima Town (Yamaguchi Prefecture) and Kauai County, paid an official visit to Kauai County. Consul General Kodama paid a courtesy call on Mayor Kawakami at the Kauai County Mayor’s Office and exchanged opinions about the promotion of exchange between Japan and Kauai County, focusing on sister relationship exchanges. Mayor Kawakami explained that the student exchange program, which had been suspended during the spread of COVID-19, has resumed.
