Queen Ka'ahumanu Elementary School Community Day
On April 18 2024, the Japanese Consulate took part in Queen Kaahumanu Elementary School’s Community Day. At the event various local businesses and organizations set up booths to let the students know details about their activities.
At our booth we displayed imitation Tempura and Sushi food samples and other models including Himeji castle, set up experience corners for Origami and Kendama, and responded to questions from the students about Japan and the activities of the Consulate. The School’s Community Day was held for the first time in three years due to Covid-19 pandemic restrictions, and more than 400 students participated in the event.
