2024 Spring Imperial Decoration Conferment Ceremony for Major General David S. Eaglin

On November 7, 2024, at the Consul General’s Official Residence, the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon was conferred to Major General David S. Eaglin.
 
Major General Eaglin, who served as the Commander of the 18th Wing, Kadena Air Base, Japan, made significant contributions to foster close bilateral collaboration between the Japan Air Defense-Force and the U.S. Air Force. His efforts greatly advanced the strengthening of the Japan-U.S. alliance and contributed to the peace and stability of the Indo-Pacific region.
 
At the ceremony, Consul General Kodama delivered a congratulatory message and expressed his respect for Major General Eaglin’s great contributions to strengthening the Japan-U.S. Alliance and promoting goodwill between the two countries. In his speech, Major General Eaglin thanked those in attendance for their support, noting that the Japan-U.S. Alliance is the most important in the world and it is a great honor to receive the prestigious decoration.
