Online seminar co-hosted by the Consulate-General of Japan in Honolulu and University of Hawai’i at Mānoa Center for Indo-Pacific Affairs
On Wednesday, October 8, the Consulate-General of Japan in Honolulu and the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa Center for Indo-Pacific Affairs, with support from the Center for Japanese Studies, co-hosted an online seminar with Admiral (ret.) Tomohisa Takei, Senior Fellow at Sasakawa Peace Foundation, on Japan's approach and contributions to the U.S.-Japan Security Alliance in light of regional circumstances.
Admiral (ret.) Takei, who is a Former Chief of Staff for the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) as well as one of Japan’s leading experts on security matters, gave a deep and insightful explanation of these recent developments, and participants highly praised the seminar for the content of the lecture and the meaningful discussion session that followed.
