Visit by Hawaii Tokai International College

Hawaii Tokai International College
On Wednesday, March 4, 2026, students and a faculty member from Hawaii Tokai International College visited our office and held discussions with Deputy Consul General Haruta, Vice Consul Tabira, and Researcher Asai.

This visit was conducted as part of the college's initiative to encourage students to consider their future career paths by visiting local Japanese companies, engaging in discussion. Members of the consulate gave a presentation on the role of foreign missions and introduced their own career paths. Following this, we had a discussion on each student's future goals and aspirations and a Q&A session.

The eight students, who came to Hawaiʻi independently for their studies after graduating from high schools in Japan, are considering transferring to universities in Hawaiʻi, the U.S. mainland, or Japan, respectively, for their next steps. It was impressive to see each of them articulate their thoughts in their own words during the discussion.

We sincerely wish them all the best in their future endeavors.
