Although unfortunately scaled down due to severe weather conditions, the 30th Annual Honolulu Festival, organized by the Honolulu Festival Foundation, took place from March 14 to 15, with the Consulate General of Japan in Honolulu participating in the event.
The Consulate's booth at the Hawaii Convention Center showcased Japanese culture, travel to Japan, and the activities of the Consulate. With the cooperation of the Kaede Calligraphy School Hawaii, we hosted a calligraphy experience corner, allowing many visitors to try their hand at traditional Japanese calligraphy. In addition, we provided panel displays and distributed informational materials on Japan, offering visitors of all ages an opportunity to deepen their understanding and appreciation of Japan.
Furthermore, in collaboration with the Honolulu Festival Foundation and the Japan Foundation, we held the Japanese Film Festival, which received very positive feedback from attendees.
