2019 Spring Imperial Decoration

 
We are pleased to announce that the following residents of Honolulu and Kailua, Hawaii have been awarded the 2019 Spring Imperial Decoration.
 
○ Dr. Robert Nathan Huey
Position: Chair and Professor, Department of East Asian Languages and Literatures, University of Hawaii at Manoa
Achievements: Contribution to the development of Japanese studies in the United States and strengthening the friendly relationship and mutual understanding between Japan and the United States.
Decoration: The Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon
  
○ Mr. Noboru Hayase 
Position: Former President of Hawaii Meijikai
Achievements: Pay tribute to the deceased
Decoration: The Order of the Rising Sun, Silver Rays
