Japan cultural booth at the New Year’s Ohana Festival
2023/1/9
On January 15 (Sun), the Consulate General of Japan will be participating the New Year’s Ohana Festival at the Japanese Cultural Center of Hawaii.
We will have a booth providing Japan travel info, Yukata & Jinbei dressing for kids and an “Amezaiku” demonstration. Amezaiku is the traditional Japanese practice of molding hot candy into artistic shapes before it hardens. At our booth, Japanese candy craft artist, Chika from Candy Art Hawaii, will demonstrate her signature sugar sculptures from 1:00 pm! The festival features a variety of activities including entertainment, craft fair and more!
FREE temporary parking will be available at nearby locations. Please stop by and visit our booth!
