Please note that successful candidates who pass the document screening will be required to take written exams on the morning of Wednesday, June 24, at the Consulate General of Japan (1742 Nuuanu Avenue). Only those who pass the written exams will be eligible to sit for an interview on the same afternoon.

Note: Late or incomplete applications will be disqualified. Please carefully read the Application Guidelines (including Notes) and follow all instructions.
 
Application instructions:

1. Follow the links to the Study in Japan website: Specialized Training College Student
2. Carefully read the Application Guidelines
3. Download and complete the Application Form documents
4. Number each document as instructed in the Application Guidelines
5. Mail or hand-deliver your application packet no later than 3:30 pm on Friday, June 5, 2026
6. Notify the consulate if you plan to mail your application packet to the email address below. Be sure to keep your postal tracking number.

2027 MEXT Scholarship Specialized Training College Student Application Schedule
 
The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) of Japan offers scholarships to international students who wish to study at Japanese specialized colleges as Specialized Training College Students under the MEXT Scholarship Program.
