2021 Monbukagakusho (Research Student) Scholarship Application Schedule

* THE WRITTEN EXAMS HAVE BEEN CANCELLED FOR THE 2021 APPLICATION YEAR ONLY. FIRST SELECTION PROCESS STEP WILL BE THROUGH THE APPLICATIONS. INTERVIEWS WILL BE GRANTED ONLY TO THOSE WHO PASS THE FIRST SELECTION PROCESS STEP.

ALL APPLICANTS WILL BE NOTIFIED BY EMAIL APPROXIMATELY ONE WEEK BEFORE THE INTERVIEWS AS TO WHETHER OR NOT THEY WILL BE GRANTED AN INTERVIEW.

 

The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) offers scholarships to international students who wish to study in graduate courses at Japanese universities for two years under the Japanese Government Scholarship Program.
 
Basic qualifications:
·        US citizen (excluding Japanese dual nationality)
·        Born on or after April 2, 1986
·        Master’s course: Awarded bachelor’s degree
·        Doctoral course: Awarded master’s degree
